"Anyone who practices can obtain success in yoga but not one who is lazy. Constant practice alone is the secret of success."
Kelsey signed up for her first yoga series in 2004, and unlike many teachers it was not love at first class. Mid way through the session a love affair with yoga began as she became amazed at how her body and mind responded to yoga. Kelsey loves playing in the yogic playground and experiencing the beauty and wisdom of different traditions. Her classes are nourishing, empowering and uplifting based on the belief that we all need something different from Yoga.
Kelsey is registered with the Yoga Alliance (ERYT 200, RYT 500, YACEP) studying at both Salt Spring Centre of Yoga and Yoga for Today. She has been blessed to study with many esteemed teachers including Baba Hari Das, Gerda Krebs, Freidel Khattab, Judith Lasater, Robin Golt, Sue Dumais and Marla Erikson. She also holds certification with the Yoga Association of Alberta and is a member of the International Associations of Yoga Therapy.
Along with Yoga training Kelsey has Group Exercise Fitness Leader certification with AFLCA with mind-body, choreography, cycle and portable equipment designations, is certified with Can Fit Pro as a Personal Trainer and holds certification with the YMCA as a Group Fitness Instructor in Group Strength. Currently she is in her second year studies at NAIT in the Personal Fitness Training program.
